Every design in this store comes from somewhere, and that somewhere is Jean Côté — a farming community near Falher, Alberta, the centre of the French community which settled the area more than a century ago. I was raised on a ranch, and everything that entails. I watched my father break the land, a land that had never before seen a plow. Did you know that Canada has more lakes than the rest of the world combined? Giant glaciers carved the land once. And deposited every single rock, stone, and boulder directly on our land. Out went the idea of raising crops, and the Rocky Acres Ranch was born. And I picked rocks and roots by hand and by machine for a portion of my childhood.
